The food was good, and so was the service, but we still waited an hour for our meal. We had a reservation and arrived at 1 p.m., right at the end of the usual lunch period. Even with the reduced holiday menu, no other food orders came in after us. The only things I’d criticize were the bottled salad dressing and the ready-made pancakes for the kids. It’s a shame neither was made in-house, especially since that seems easy enough and probably no more expensive.

Breakfast was delicious, and the whole place was really clean. I felt comfortable and well looked after throughout my stay. The restaurant serves excellent food, and there’s good conversation to be had there too. The owner in particular is always around for guests and people on holiday. Thanks for a lovely few days. I’d happily return anytime.

We had our 40th school reunion last Saturday in the hall behind the restaurant, and it had a lovely, distinctive feel for the occasion. With 50 people to look after, the excellent hospitality can’t have been easy. The food was perfect, and the drinks all went smoothly too. Thanks again. We’d gladly come back 👍

The owner was so friendly, and dinner was delicious. We’d come in after a hike, and they even brought a bowl of water for our furry friend along with the menu. Simply wonderful. Thanks so much!

The innkeeper was very friendly, but the place still needs renovating. It all has a strong old East German feel.
