Right in the lovely, walkable center of Schöningen, and the hotel itself is charming and very clean. The owners were so helpful. Breakfast at Oma's is a must. This ended up being our favorite hotel in Germany.

We had such a good time exploring the countryside on the hotel's electric bikes, grinning the whole way. My sister and I stayed a week at Hotel Schlafschöningen in June 2016. Our room was fabulous, clean, and roomy, with a balcony and garden space outside. The renovated old home has been done with a lot of care and taste. Everyone was genuinely warm and helpful, from the owners to the staff. Breakfast was lecker, and don't skip dinner at Oma's Kitchen, the family-run restaurant connected to the hotel. They treat the staff like family. I had come from the United States because my Oma had passed away, and found this sweetest little hotel in Schönigen Germany. Hats off to them, and vielen Dank!!!!

Right in the town center, close to shops, with clean, comfortable rooms that have plenty of room. The prices are good, too. Try the breakfast, you'll love it.

The extra night was fantastic, and we even got a room upgrade. Booking and all the communication were friendly, easy, and completely smooth. A wonderful stay. This is how travel should be! :)

Everything is so well kept and comfortable, and the atmosphere is one of the nicest I've come across. I was already impressed on my second stay, and I'm looking forward to coming back next year.
