The location worked well for hiking, with a restaurant within walking distance and a little village shop nearby. It had what we needed, including tasty bratwurst and mustard. Our family room had a double bed and bunk beds, though the furnishings felt a bit dated. Breakfast was okay, just not really my thing, and I missed having salami. It's a decent guesthouse, but I probably wouldn't stay here again.

The staff were friendly, and for the price the breakfast and slightly older room furnishings were fine. The breakfast room can also be used as a lounge, with board games and a small selection of items available through an honesty box. Our room was very cold in early October and smelled a little musty. The WiFi still didn't work after we reported it, which was frustrating and brought the service impression down.

You can head out hiking right from the guesthouse, and the location was excellent. We were warmly welcomed with our little dog, and the staff were very friendly. Breakfast was regional, with several coffee options, and more than adequate. The room was fine for a short break, though we were unlucky to get one on the ground floor right beside the entrance. The view wasn't what we'd expected from the description :(
