The terrace is wonderful, even in the rain, and the rooms are cozy and very clean. The small hotel is generally quiet, though cars were sometimes noisy at night. With the windows closed, it was fine. Breakfast was simple, tasty, and filling enough to skip lunch. Hopefully I’ll be back soon!

I was very happy with my stay. The price was fair, breakfast was good, and there was a secure spot for my bike. Supper was good too, and they were flexible about serving breakfast early. Danke!

A delightful place to put my feet up between hiking days. The owners were polite and friendly, and breakfast was fantastic.

My wife and I spent a week at Grubstuben a few days ago. We found it comfortable and very clean, with large rooms and friendly hosts. It’s quiet, centrally located in the Black Forest, and has scenic views. Parking was easy, breakfast was a nice continental one, and the price was good. We recommend it.
