The place feels welcoming and is kept clean. It's a quiet, charming hotel in a small town, with rooms that have a rustic, typical look. The restaurant serves local food, though some of the waiters struggle to speak English.

I can only comment on the restaurant, not the hotel. We’ve eaten here many times over the years, and even my meat-eating coworkers started ordering the grilled veggie plate. The freshness, flavor, and colors were that good. It’s lovely, and the plate looks stunning.

I wouldn’t recommend this hotel to other travelers, and I wouldn’t go back. It’s surprising to be treated rudely by a host, since that runs against the idea of hospitality. I can’t tell whether the owner was having a bad day or usually ignores and speaks rudely to guests.

The cozy room has the feel of a typical German Gaststube. We got a table right away, and service was quick when I came for lunch with a business partner. The food is great and authentically German. The original wiener schnitzel is delicious, and I’d get Käsespätzle as a side instead of potatoes.
