Holiday Inn Express Nuernberg-Schwabach by IHG

The beds were a surprise, really comfortable, and I slept well apart from a beeping noise that came about every 50 seconds. Maybe it was only in my room. The rooms themselves were good and breakfast was good too. The view was terrible, though, and I didn't like the area. Even the McDonald's there was awful. I wouldn't pick this as a holiday hotel.

Friendly staff, a comfortable bed, and a good breakfast included in the price were definite pluses. The room was spacious as well. But the Wi-Fi was incredibly unreliable, and there was no fridge for keeping anything cold. Cleaning could be more thorough: the sofa had stains, and black spots were visible in the shower grout where there was mold. I forgot to take a picture. I would say this hotel...

The place was good in other ways, but the staff attitude needs a lot of work. At breakfast, I was told in a very German style, without much "please" or "sorry," to give up my table sooner because "we need it." I've stayed in many hotels around the world and this is the first time that's happened to me. Also, the room attendant came in one morning without knocking. I understand businesses hire migrants to cut costs and maximize shareholder profit, but surely there should be basic training, like knocking or saying a simple "Hallo!"

The hotel was lovely and clean, and breakfast was wonderful. A big thank you to the night manager on Saturday night, 20th September 2025. His help was amazing, and I also want to thank the rest of the staff.
