The staff were very kind, but the visit itself was a letdown. At our table I found little dead flies, and I had to brush cookie crumbs off my chair. The children's play corner looked poorly decorated, and the toys were so sticky we went straight to wash our hands. There was soap and water, but no towels, so toilet paper had to do. We'd come on recommendations hoping to try somewhere different. We were the only guests, yet waited an hour for the food. I expected better. What a shame.

The service was poor too, and toward the end we could only get drinks at the bar. I can't understand the recent reviews. I haven't had food this bad in ages. We met at the country inn on Saturday with around 50 people, though only about 30 of us ate. Even with plenty of time and a small menu, the kitchen served frozen ready-made schnitzels. €12 for those is outrageous. The fries were soggy, and the fried potatoes seemed warmed in a pan instead of properly fried. Never again.

The owner helped make the evening feel lively with a relaxed, friendly manner. We had dinner there last night with a few members of the Golm Volunteer Fire Department, and the food made with regional products was delicious. Thanks to the kitchen team. We'd be glad to do it again.

Tino and his team were great partners for our wedding, and I'd happily recommend them for events. They arranged plenty in advance, including catering refrigerators, beer garden furniture and a shuttle service. The buffet looked wonderful and tasted outstanding, the staff were friendly and professional, and they even met our request to use as much organic food as possible. The whole package came at very fair prices.
