In the farming village of Seeehausen, right by Staffelsee lake, this is a pleasant B&B with good value for money. The owner, the elderly Georg Eichberger, was very helpful.

I’d give it no stars if I could. The woman running the house was insulting and hostile. She shouted at us, told us to shut up, and called us stupid cows. We left early because we weren’t willing to keep putting up with that. The room also didn’t have the double bed shown in the listing, there weren’t enough dishes, and the so-called sleeping spots were really more like corner benches. I would never recommend this place.

The guesthouse is run in a very personal, welcoming way, though our experiences there have had ups and downs over time. It’s all rather cramped, and the location is central in the village, with the bakery only a short walk away. There are cows next door, so you may hear them at night or early in the morning. Tractors sometimes rumble past early, too.
