Lufthansa Seeheim - More than a Conference Hotel

A shameful experience. With no Halal-certified food across any of the meals, I couldn’t get a proper dish for my whole stay, which left me uncomfortable and stressed the entire time. Worse, I unknowingly ate cheesecake with pork-derived gelatin. That was deeply upsetting and completely unacceptable for an international hotel. Halal products are easy to source in this country, so the lack of care in menu planning and ingredient labeling is astonishing.

I booked a room on a road trip after Lufthansa Seeheim caught my eye on Google Maps, and arriving there was quite astonishing. The hotel is easy to reach from the Autobahn, yet sits on a hill in the middle of a forest. The buildings and infrastructure are all perfectly built. It has the feel of a Lufthansa Business Class lounge, with different room sizes, nice breakfast, extensive recreation facilities, restaurants, and even a beach volleyball field. Everything was perfectly clean, and parking in the huge garage was free. Although it’s mainly a conference hotel, a regular leisure visitor can have a good time here too. The staff were courteous, and the place is really well managed. Well done Lufthansa!

A good choice for work trips, with everything a business traveler needs for workshops and related activities. The restaurant is a delight, with a changing daily menu of varied dishes and unique delicacies. The rooms have nice views. I’ve stayed here several times, though, and the mattresses and pillows need attention because they aren’t comfortable.
