The atmosphere really stuck with me: an authentic place with high ceilings, heavy doors, and stone floors. The service is personal, and special thanks to Lena Steeb at reception. We had very few problems to start with, and not one went unresolved. Things were taken care of without us even having to ask. 5/5.

The surrounding area is incredibly beautiful and peaceful, and the views of the lake from the rooms are lovely. The rooms have been renovated nicely and are very spacious, though sparsely furnished. There’s no air conditioning, but they stay naturally cool, so that should only be an issue on the hottest days. Breakfast was good, but the on-site restaurant has a limited choice of dinner dishes, which could be a problem with fussy eaters. It’s probably not the most kid-friendly accommodation. The historical connection with Mozart was a pleasant surprise, and the staff were very friendly.

A great place to get away from daily stress. The location and service were great, and the food was good. I’d definitely recommend it and will come back.

The rooms are plain but clean, and I really missed having a fan to circulate air in that stifling heat. Most of the staff were super friendly, though one person at the outdoor restaurant wasn't. The grounds look gorgeous, neatly kept and manicured.

We loved the room's lake view. It was average in size and efficiently laid out, and everything was spotless. The staff were genuinely helpful and friendly, and the breakfast buffet, in my opinion, was gourmet, with the area's best ingredients. It was the finest breakfast we had on our two-week trip. This is a unique, tucked-away hotel in a beautifully restored historic cloistered monastery. Take time to read the history posted along the interior walls. We'll come back with our adult children!
