The bikes were kept safely in the garage, and the food and drinks were both good and inexpensive. After a long ride, my wife and I turned up without a reservation, but Franz-Josef and Goran made us feel like family. Such lovely hosts. We’ll definitely return on our next trip to the Sauerland. Big thanks from Theo and Earnie!

The all-white rooms felt rather dull and could use some touches to make them more welcoming. Breakfast was very standard, too. It wasn’t a bad hotel, but there’s plenty of room for improvement, and I’m not sure I’d stay here again.

The room was pleasant and simply furnished, with a shower and toilet, and our stay itself was nice. Breakfast was brought out an hour later especially for us, with cold cuts, cheeses, jams, honey, Nutella, rolls and bread. We only stayed briefly, so I can’t say much about the town. We’d booked at the last minute after our accommodation for a company party was cancelled. Booking went smoothly and we got our keys, but the taxi I’d requested never showed up. When we asked, we found out they’d forgotten to order it. We ended up more than an hour late to the party and had to explain it to the boss, which was really annoying.
