We mostly ate and relaxed at the hotel during our three-night stay, including dinner and coffee and cake, or Kaffe und Kuchen. It was a birthday celebration for my aunt, and we all enjoyed it. The food was really good, the outdoor seating was lovely, and the rooms were great. Service stood out as excellent. It’s not in the town center, but that worked fine for us. No complaints.

The traditional German food was so good, and the menu had plenty of variety. Staff were friendly and very helpful, and our room was clean and really nice. It’s fantastic value compared with cologne. I’d definitely come back to eat here.

The mattresses were old and uncomfortable, which was the one drawback in an otherwise really nice stay. The woman looking after the place was especially helpful and spoke English very well.

On our way from London, the car broke down on the Autobahn at 10 pm on a Sunday. Two hotels had already turned us away when the owners of Kasserolle Hotel took us in and helped with our bags. They even tried to arrange help with the car. The staff were all lovely and spoke great English. They also let us stay in the room past checkout while we waited for the repair. Such a friendly, stress-free place. Thank you for being so kind.

A nice apartment, and the dining room was good.
