Erikson Hotel

We stayed for nearly a week when I visited in 2022. The receptionists were friendly from the moment we arrived and gladly answered our questions. Having our car in the garage beneath the hotel made coming and going really easy.

The room was clean and pleasant, with a comfortable bed and a well-kept bathroom. Breakfast being included made it especially good value. The staff were lovely, and a big thank you to the kind, hardworking lady in the restaurant area 🌸

The bed was comfortable, but the rest of our stay was disappointing. At check-in, staff said breakfast was included, then called our room to say it cost extra. That was fine since we weren’t planning to have breakfast. At checkout, we learned the garage parking was 13 euro. Free street-level parking is available, but there were no signs pointing it out. Reception blamed us for not knowing about the parking fee. I’ll post a photo of the tiny notice inside the garage, which is hard to read from a distance. Meal and service ads, by comparison, are displayed clearly in the elevator and other obvious spots. We also found the fine print saying items in the mini fridge cost extra, fortunately before drinking the water. The Wi-Fi was very weak.

We were just passing through by car and stayed one night. We booked directly with the hotel on the day, and were surprised by the low rate: 77 euros for two people, breakfast included. Parking costs extra, 13 euros according to what I read. Our corner room was quiet, spacious, spotless, and had all the comforts, including a fridge, safe, and lovely bathroom. The rooms are much nicer than at other hotels nearby. The reception staff spoke excellent English, which isn’t so common in Germany, and everyone was friendly. I’d definitely recommend it and would come back.
