We were greeted by friendly staff who speak several languages, and the hotel has a quiet, welcoming feel. There’s a large car park out front, a nicely kept lawn, plus a bar and restaurant with a pleasant outdoor terrace. Breakfast was fantastic and everything tasted fresh. The price felt a little high, but I can still recommend staying here.

The food was delicious, but with my health related diet restrictions I struggled to find suitable choices at both the breakfast buffet and dinner. There were plenty of dairy, gluten, and sugar containing items, as well as eggs and other things I couldn’t eat. I ended up going off my diet and hoping for the best. I only had dinner there once, and had the same problem. The options seemed fine for people without food restrictions. The room was a good size, clean, nicely decorated, and had a balcony. It was quiet, but there was no air conditioning or extra fan, and the unusually hot weather made sleeping uncomfortable. There’s a pool and sauna on site, though I didn’t use them and didn’t know they were available until I arrived. I’d stay again despite the food challenges. It was a lovely place, the forbidden foods were delicious, and everything was very reasonably priced. I didn’t explore the small city, so I can’t say what else there is to do.

We happened to stay here on a Sunday night and thought it was one of the best places we’d found for the price. We loved it. It looks more expensive in spring and summer, but even then it might be worth the cost.

The rooms were very clean and the beds were excellent, and it’s in a quiet spot with the atmosphere of the Ahr valley all around. The place is well equipped, with a very good kitchen and breakfast. I also really enjoyed the regional white wines.
