Zum Torkelhaus

The homemade jam at breakfast is highly recommended. The coffee, rolls, and cold cuts were all delicious, and there was plenty of room in our room for a travel cot. We stayed for five nights and got a warm welcome. The room and bathroom were very clean and newly renovated. Thanks for a wonderful stay!

The historic house is a real pleasure to explore, with superb furnishings for a building that's over 300 years old. There's even a Torkel, a wine press from the early 18th century, in the vaulted cellar, where wine tastings are sometimes held. We spent 14 days here and the host looked after us very well. Breakfast was delicious, with fresh bakery rolls and homemade jams on the buffet. It was also lovely how easy it was to meet other guests. If you're planning a holiday on Lake Constance, Torkelhaus is the place to stay!

The rustic furnishings give the Torkelhaus real charm, and there's always something new to spot in the house. It feels a bit like a museum. We spent a lovely week here after receiving such a warm welcome, and we'd love to return. Best regards.

Everything was clean and well kept, even though some things here feel like time has stood still. The room, hallway toilets, and furnishings might seem outdated, but this place shows that not everything needs replacing every few years. We also had access to a shared kitchen, which was a real plus on our cycling trip. The host was super nice, chatty, and accommodating. Breakfast had a family feel, and we met lots of nice people there. This is a guesthouse unlike any other, and if you know what to expect, it's highly recommendable.
