Landhotel Waldschlößchen

We had dinner at the hotel on both nights of my two-night stay. The food was authentic and delicious, including tarte flambée and beef roulades. The owner cooks, while his wife serves with real warmth. Our hosts were friendly and attentive throughout. I felt completely at ease, and the spacious, cozy room under the roof was lovely. The barrel sauna was a great experience too.

We've stayed here three times now, always with a larger group, and keep coming back. The hosts are so warm that you feel at home straight away. The rooms are lovely and well cared for, with clear attention to comfort and detail. The food has impressed us on every visit. It's freshly prepared, traditional cooking, with a short but thoughtfully chosen menu that has something for everyone. We often pair our stay with an alpaca trek at Graceland Alpacas in Wehrsdorf, which makes the trip extra special. It's a lovely place to relax and enjoy ourselves, and we'll definitely return.

We felt welcome as soon as we arrived, and our dog was treated like a guest too. There was a special dog bed and feeding station in the room. The food was delicious, and the service was always friendly, helpful, and good-humored. Since we couldn't hike as planned, the owner shared lots of useful ideas for the surrounding area. We also had a good exchange about caring for dogs. At Waldschlößchen there's an adorable 5-month-old German Shepherd puppy being trained as a friendly guard dog. The food was very good, and we'd happily stay again. We got a friendly welcome at this nice hotel, set in beautiful countryside near the Czech border, with a terrace and beer garden.
