Hotel Restaurant Zum Felsenkeller

Dinner was tasty and good value. We had schnitzel with fresh mushrooms and soup, and the service was friendly and attentive. The next morning’s breakfast was extensive and delicious, especially since we were the only two guests in the hotel during the off-season. We’re hiking the Saar Hunsrück Steig and stayed at Hotel zum Felsenkeller. A call the evening before we arrived showed how friendly and helpful the host was. Our room was just right, nicely furnished, very clean, and had a really comfortable bed. The owners were amazing and gave us great tips for the rest of the hike. We felt very at home, and would happily stay and eat with the Klein family again.

The owners were so welcoming, and last year they even drove us to different stages of the Saar-Hunsrück Trail. We stayed two nights then and came back for one night this year while hiking the trail. The dinners were the best meals we’d had on our earlier hikes there, simply delicious. We’d happily return.

We were hiking the Saar-Hunsrück Trail and spent three nights here. The owners were wonderfully warm and helpful, taking us to different stages and sharing useful tips. Breakfast had loads to choose from, including fresh fruit, and felt above the usual 3-star standard. The food was fantastic too. Such a lovely stay, we’d gladly come back.

We felt right at home here. The hosts were so friendly, the food was very good, and breakfast had plenty to choose from, including raw vegetables and fruit. The rooms are basic, but super clean, and the bathrooms have been newly renovated.
