Heidehotel Anna

The hot water was extremely hot, especially when you shifted the controls even a little, so that was the one real downside. The hotel is a bit dated, but the price reflects that. Breakfast was very nice and the staff were helpful.

The staff really made the stay for me. They were attentive and kind, and at dinner the waitress offered to prepare something for my special diet even though it wasn't on the menu. They also lent me an umbrella and held my luggage for a few hours. Just note that the hotel closes for a while at lunchtime. The location is in a quiet neighborhood, about a five-minute walk from the city center and ten minutes from the train station. I was there for a night in September during peak Heide season. The facilities aren't modern, as some reviews mention, but for the price I got what I expected: a comfortable bed, hair dryer, and what I needed for a short stay. The WiFi did keep disconnecting.

Rooms 1-7 are the more comfortable choice, in my opinion. The room and the hotel were tidy, and it was so quiet both inside and out that I really enjoyed being there. We had breakfast once and thought the food was excellent. There's a supermarket nearby as well as the city center, making it a good place to stay.

The room was fine for one person, with a good reading light, though the bed felt a little worn. I had a top-floor room and the WiFi there was very poor. Dinner at the restaurant was great, and breakfast was excellent. The hotel was easy to find, had parking beside it, and I received a friendly welcome at check-in.
