Berggasthof Sonne Imberg

We spent five wonderful days here and felt at ease from the moment we arrived. The rooms are clean and beautiful, and the family atmosphere is warm. Service and hospitality are clearly a priority, and we'd like to return. The restaurant is cozy, with excellent food at fair prices. Breakfast is generous, with fresh, tasty rolls and plenty of choice. We especially liked being able to cook our own eggs, so they're hot and just the consistency we want.

My wife uses a wheelchair, and during our four days at the hotel in October 2025 we felt comfortable and were treated very well. Many thanks, and all the best for the future.

The care team at Sonne Imberg Mountain Inn deserves so much credit. The Müller family and staff responded quickly and calmly when a medical emergency came up shortly after we arrived, and their help meant a lot to us. Everyone was patient, attentive, friendly, and empathetic. My husband has dementia, and I'd nearly stopped believing we could take a holiday together. This stay gave us a sense of safety, warmth, and understanding, and we're grateful enough that we'll definitely return. The care rooms are modern, immaculate, and spacious, with room to move safely using a walker or wheelchair, including in the bathroom. The inn is quiet and surrounded by nature, with a beautiful view of the Allgäu mountains. Meals were another pleasure: breakfast was fresh and varied, with breads, rolls, cold cuts, cheese, fruit, yogurt, muesli, juice, tea, and different coffees. Eggs and bacon could be made fresh at the table on request. Dinner was a good traditional three-course meal with two choices, and the cakes were delicious. A very caring place for people who need support and their families to travel with dignity.

I was extremely disappointed to pay €280.00 a night for a double room. As a paraplegic, I found it wholly unsuitable as a care hotel. The disabled parking space behind the building was taken up by the hotel's own trailer, and the entrance was so narrow that I couldn't manage the two old double doors in my wheelchair. My room was tiny, which made bedside care very difficult. By 9 a.m. much of the breakfast buffet had already been cleared. The three-course meal was unimaginative, more like cafeteria food. Never again!
