Hotel Kurpfalz

I'd definitely recommend it. Excellent from start to finish!

This was the largest room I had during my whole tour.

Our two single rooms worked well for a long weekend. We got a warm welcome, and the rooms were bright, exceptionally spacious, and spotless. They had all the basics we needed, including beds, desks, sofas, and plenty of wardrobe space. The modern bathroom had a shower that was easy to adjust, and the mattresses were excellent for hotel beds. I also liked having a light switch by the bed, lots of other lamps, and the thoughtful combination of blinds and curtains. It's conveniently placed near the city center and within walking distance of the train station. There was no air conditioning, though that wasn't mentioned in the description. The shower had no soap dish, and the stairs squeaked at night, which bothered us. Still, we enjoyed the stay very much.

The artwork gave the place so much character and warmth. It felt carefully chosen and appreciated, with little things to discover everywhere, rather than just decoration. My room was spacious and quiet, with a lovely view of the towers in the evening, like a little Speyer scene through the window. And the bathtub was wonderful after a long day, just sinking into hot water and relaxing. I hadn't arrived with high expectations, but Hotel Kurpfalz turned out to be a lovingly maintained city hotel with a calm, harmonious feel. It was clean, quiet, high quality, and absolutely worth the price. I'll come back.
