Ambassador Hotel & Spa

After a long, cold walk on the beach, the spa facilities were very welcoming, and they’re very good. We chose the hotel for the spa and its position directly on the beach. The reception area is bright and modern. Staff are friendly and mainly speak German, but do their best with English. The rooms are clean, bright, and roomy enough, and the beds are very comfortable.

The location is great, the spa is good, and breakfast has a wide choice of sweet and savoury food. But the staff were so unfriendly. The hotel seems to be falling apart: a broken corridor lamp, a hole in the roof, and a badly finished bathroom with yellow silicone all over the shower. We ordered room service, and it wasn’t cleaned up during our entire stay. This isn’t worth a four-star rating, and we weren’t very satisfied. We paid by wire transfer before arriving, but they didn’t know about it. Parking is very limited, and if it’s full, you have to use the garage and pay for it.

The rooms and the rest of the hotel were squeaky clean, and there’s an elevator and wheelchair access. We had great food in the restaurant. The small, outdated bathroom was the one drawback, but it’s still a nice package overall.

The hotel staff were obliging and helpful, and even though my family and I stayed just two nights, it was one of the most relaxing getaways I’ve had. The rooms are spacious, with a nice outlook even if you don’t book an ocean view. The Ambassador sits right in front of St. Peter’s wooden pier, near a small shopping area and a quieter stretch of beach with several stilt houses. This is St. Peter Bad, midway along the spread-out community of St. Peter on Germany’s North Sea coast. The hotel is privately managed and among the upscale places in St. Peter. The rates aren’t cheap, but using the amenities makes it worthwhile. The wooden pier and miles of beach are just steps away. WiFi, parking, and breakfast are complimentary, and breakfast is delicious with lots of variety. There’s also a spa and pool, a sauna, and free sports activities such as Nordic Walking in the nearby forest, Aquarobics in the pool, and Asia Fit on the top floor with views over the shore. Free rooftop baths overlook the pier and beach at sunset. There are only two Jacuzzis, so I’d recommend reserving one when booking.
