Beach Motel St. Peter-Ording

The bed was very comfortable, and the loft room had a balcony with a great beach view. There was extra space to sit and relax between trips to the beach or going out for breakfast or dinner. The sauna and spa area were perfect when it got a bit cool. It's the best location for my favorite beach in Germany!

The location was nice, and despite the very high prices, we had a lovely stay. A burger was €25, nachos €18, kids' meals €12, and breakfast about €23. The staff were friendly, and making sandwiches from the breakfast buffet to take to the beach was a nice way to save a little money. The hotel's Dike restaurant was good, but I didn't think the Owl restaurant was very good. Our rooms were clean, though sand was hard to avoid and was never vacuumed. The bed was sandy too, which wasn't great. It was stuffy and hot in the room even with the windows open, as there were no ceiling fans, and the mosquitoes were pretty bad. Parking was difficult, so we rented bikes to get around, which worked out well with our 4-year-old and 10-year-old.

The spa access is included in the booking, with two saunas, a couple of rooms to relax in and a small outdoor area with a jacuzzi. The hotel is wonderfully close to the beach and dunes, very dog friendly, and the rooms were gorgeous and spotless. Breakfast costs extra but is worth it, with vegan choices too. The restaurant mostly serves American food and has very limited vegan options, which is a little sad. Apart from that, everything was great. Highly recommended, especially if you're traveling with your dog.

We stayed here in April 2017 and loved it. The rooms were cozy, and the buffet breakfast was great. There's a bike rental shop close to the hotel, plus a restaurant and bar, and the beach is within walking distance. We'd stay here again.
