Das Frühstückshotel St. Peter-Ording

Other people have mentioned poor customer service, and our experience before arrival was terrible too. We booked through booking.com for September 10 to 15, 2021. A last-minute business meeting meant we asked to move the booking or find another solution that worked for both sides. We were willing to pay the much higher September rate for a rescheduled November trip, when the place wasn't busy anyway, so the property wouldn't have lost money. When we asked for flexibility, the reservation manager said he “wouldn't give a little finger because we'd take the whole arm,” a German proverb meaning someone will take advantage. That struck us as an interesting attitude toward customers. He was uncooperative and even rude. Friends from northern Germany told us this kind of behavior had become common in St. Peter-Ording since COVID-19. I also agree with earlier reviews that breakfast should be included in the rate, especially for a property that calls itself “The Breakfast Hotel.” We're still hoping someone will take over our booking. If not, we'll have to travel there for as much of the booked time as possible, though we're not looking forward to it.

The room was clean, but there was too much furniture. The shower was small and had nowhere to put soap or shampoo because the soap dish was broken. The shower hose was ripped too, and both problems looked like they'd been there a long time. This wasn't a comfort room.

Very clean and nice, with a great breakfast selection.

The room was clean and friendly, the price was reasonable, and the location was great.
