The breakfast was tasty, and the location worked well for us: close enough to get around, but away from the busiest part. Parking at the hotel was free, although the spaces were a bit tight, which seems common across St. Peter-Ording. The friendly young team looked after us, and the shared spaces felt charming and inviting. During the day, you can get complimentary specialty coffees from a machine. We had no Wi-Fi despite it being advertised, which was especially frustrating with the poor mobile reception around town. The mattresses were much too firm for us, though that's a personal preference. Some of the breakfast eggs had funny faces drawn on them with a CD marker, and the ink had bled through, which wasn't appetizing. The delicious scrambled eggs more than made up for that.

We’ve stayed here four times now, and still love its character. It’s an older hotel right on the dunes, with views over the North Sea and the pier at Sankt Peter-Ording-Bad nearby. The rooms are simple, breakfast is good, and the service and management are friendly and helpful.

We had a really relaxed stay, and the self-service wine and sparkling wine were well priced. The hotel is beautifully designed, and breakfast was fantastic. We’ll come back!

The bed was the one letdown for me. Neither the mattress nor the pillow was very comfortable, so that’s where I took off a star. Otherwise, it’s a nice hotel with good service and fair value.
