Strandgut Resort

The staff were friendly and helpful, and the bed and pillows were comfortable. It was quiet at night, with the beach and nice restaurants within walking distance. The hotel had also prepared so thoughtfully for our dog, with a bed, bowls, and a little pack of treats. Loved staying here and will definitely come again when we visit SPO.

The food was delicious, and the buffet breakfast stood out for its local fresh produce and brands, with plenty for different food preferences and dietary needs. Every staff member we met was welcoming and more obliging than anywhere else we've experienced in Germany. StrandGut Resort is a beautiful, modern, welcoming hotel, with a sweeping view of the beach and ocean, plus a balcony and StrandKorb ❤️. The amenities feel thoughtful and personally curated. I'd love to return and try the yoga classes or a retreat.

The service was good, but the room was far too expensive for what you get. We paid €250 for one night for a tiny room on the first floor with a supposed “see view.” There was hardly any sea view at all, and that price was extortionate. I wouldn't recommend booking a first-floor “see view” room for that amount.

The beds are perfect and comfortable, and the rooms have the equipment you need. You can shower with a view across the Northern Sea. Breakfast is generous, and there's always free tea in the lobby. The staff are friendly and great. Guests can use the sauna and other wellness offerings, but those aren't part of the hotel. It's absolutely worth spending a little extra for them. This is one of my preferred places, a good spot to enjoy the fresh air and relax.
