The shore is only a few meters away, and the garden has loungers, a beach chair, and a ping-pong table. It’s a peaceful spot on the island, just right if you want to switch off. The bedroom tucked under the eaves feels especially cozy, and the furnishings have everything covered. For a swim, head toward Süddorf, just a few minutes by bike. The nearest shop is in Nebel, about 1.8 km away.

Steenodde is quiet, which suits us perfectly, and Wattdün and Nebel are easy to reach on foot. Jan’s lovely garden has a peaceful spot for every kind of sunshine, and his east-facing apartment has a sea view and is so cozy. We’ve visited Amrum 14 times, stayed with Jan Ricklefs on 12 of those trips, and tried all of his apartments. In recent years, including this one, we’ve chosen the east-facing place. We hope to keep coming back for many years.
