Hotel Alt Steinbach

The Italian food in the hotel restaurant, prepared by a Sicilian chef, was delicious. The owner was kind, helpful, and had a great sense of humor. It's a great hotel for a short or longer stay, with very good value for the price.

I had to drive to another town to find a hotel after arriving around 10:45 pm to find all the lights off and nobody answering the mobile number posted on the door. I'd called several times between 9:30 and 10:00 pm, knowing I'd get there late, and no one picked up. Before that, I'd booked a room and called to confirm that arriving after the 9 pm check-in time was okay. They assured me it was. The staff later refused a refund, saying nobody had tried to call. I'd give them a negative rating if I could.

One of my favorite places for business trips. The parking and service are great, and everything was clean. The staff and their Corona measures deserve praise too. Outstanding. It's a few kilometers from the center of Frankfurt.

It's a very simple hotel with small rooms. There's not always an attendant around, and not always someone who can speak English. There's no elevator, and breakfast isn't available every day. Still, it's clean, everything works, the people are nice, and it's close to the market, bus, and train. I'd come back.
