Baskerville Hotel "Urlaub mit Hund - Hunde im Zimmerpreis inbegriffen"

The room mattresses were worn out, and the whole place had a damp, moldy smell. We even had to wash clothes we hadn't worn. Cleanliness was poor, though as dog owners we're not usually fussy. Breakfast cost €7 each and felt far too expensive for the thin, uninspired selection, especially when several guests were there. If you want eggs, you have to cook them yourself. There was no path to the lake, just a muddy field, and no bike paths or hiking trails nearby. We had to drive whenever we wanted to go somewhere. The owner was only around in the mornings, so after that you were on your own unless other guests were about. We stayed a week and were glad to get home. This place doesn't deserve to be called a hotel, it felt more like a youth hostel. Worst vacation ever, I need time at home to recover. Stay away, it's a waste of money.
