For the price, the rooms were very good, quiet, and in a great location. The small kitchen was handy, and I loved the bathroom. But two things explain my three stars. There was a locked connecting door to the next room, and someone on the other side tried to open it several times during our stay. It was extremely unsettling. Maybe put up a sign asking guests not to try opening it and disturb people in the middle of the night. We asked about early check-in and got a prompt refusal, which we understood. What didn't make sense was receiving an email two hours before check-in asking us to complete the process online, with the promise of door codes immediately afterwards. They didn't arrive for another two hours, only after we contacted the property because our original check-in time had already passed.

A charming place in a historic part of town, with lovely, stylish rooms that are well equipped and clean. The staff are willing to accommodate your wishes. The rooms feel like small apartments, and since this was once the Swedish consulate, you get a little glimpse into Stralsund's history. I'd recommend it for a romantic stay.

There’s no elevator, but this newer apartment is on the top floor of a renovated building in a nice neighborhood. It has a balcony, plenty of room, and a kitchenette with all the basics.

There are plenty of cafés and restaurants nearby, and both the harbor and old market are an easy walk away. The suite is very roomy, right in Stralsund old town, which made it a great place to stay.
