Really great!

The old town center is just a two-minute walk away, and the hotel itself is lovely and comfortable. We had a roomy, clean room, excellent beds, and a very good breakfast. The owner gave us personal attention, too. In the evenings, though, we had to stay in our room. The wine bar was closed. You could collect drinks there, but the space didn't feel very welcoming. Still, I'd recommend the hotel. The photos attached show the area around it.

We were there Friday through Monday, and the location was a real plus: about eight minutes on foot from the station and five from the center. Our street-facing room was noisy at night, with cars, loud pedestrians, and clattering suitcases. The owners can't really help that. The room was fine, but the mattresses were far too soft for us. Breakfast was a letdown. Every day brought the same two kinds of rubbery rolls, dry bread with no whole-wheat option, and the same egg salad and sausage. There was no variety. When we asked the manager about scrambled eggs, he dismissed it right away, saying it wasn't affordable with a 10-euro breakfast and asking how he could charge extra. We travel around Germany a lot, and breakfast is usually about 10 euros. We've always had scrambled eggs when we asked, at no extra charge, unless they were already on the buffet. You won't miss anything here. At checkout, nobody asked whether we'd been comfortable. Maybe that was for the best.
