Adina Apartment Hotel Stuttgart

DB put me up here after my train was cancelled. It’s about a 10 minute walk from Stuttgart HBF. The room was modern and spacious, with a great view and a comfortable bed. Reception staff were friendly.

I spent four nights here exploring Stuttgart and couldn’t have chosen a better base. The apartment tower is well maintained, hospitality was good, and the location is convenient for getting around, with a huge mall right behind it. The kitchen was one of the most fully equipped we’ve had, with a washer/dryer, dishwasher and washing tablets, plus an induction cooker and a full set of utensils. We made pasta, omelets and other things, picking up ingredients at the mall grocery store. One thing to know: Adina’s entrance is hard to spot and up a slope, which could be a bit of a struggle for older people pulling luggage from the central station. Premier Inn is much more visible and occupies the first few floors of the building. Adina is on floors 7 through 20.

The staff I dealt with were friendly and genuinely helpful, going out of their way when they could. The location is excellent, about a five minute walk from the main station, with two metro stations right outside for getting around the city and nearby areas. I’d happily stay again in Stuttgart. The room was spacious and very comfortable, with a great bed, a large fridge with a small freezer, useful cooking facilities, a dishwasher, and a washer/dryer for clothes. The gym, sauna, and pool in the basement were good too. Highly recommended.

I stayed here two years ago, drawn by the location across from the amazing library. There was a lot of construction, no proper reception area, and no professional staff to help. At 2 am, our room lock seemed jammed and a man entered. He was shirtless, high, covered in bruises, cuts, and blood, and clearly not in his right mind. Thank God I woke up, since we’d hardly slept the night before, just two hours. I was with my husband, and he threw the man out. The police, hotel staff, and manager seemed to want to cover up what happened. They didn’t acknowledge our fear, discomfort, or complaints. One kind receptionist, whose name I can’t recall, checked the locks with us, found they were damaged, and moved us to another floor. I still have nightmares. It was appalling. It also seemed like hiding drugs was normal at this hotel. The kitchen supplies were dirty, and the kettle couldn’t even be used. The passages were rowdy as people returned from Oktober Fest, and the place was super dingy. I’ll never stay here again. A horrible, terrible experience.
