The front desk woman was so warm, friendly, and helpful, and my room was quiet, clean, and everything in it worked. As an IHG member, I got an early check-in and some nice snacks as a welcome, which was a lovely extra. Garner Hotel Stuttgart City Centre is very convenient for getting around. It's a 4-5 minute walk to Stuttgart Feuersee station, then the direct S-Bahn to the airport takes about 25-35 minutes. I had a great stay and would book here again next time I'm in Stuttgart. ❤️

They're renting out rooms while the whole hotel is being renovated. There's dust from the work on every floor and drilling from 9 to 18. If you check in at 15 and want to stay in your room until 12, nobody seems to care about the noise. The heating didn't work, the room was cold, and the shower water barely came out. If they chose to keep taking guests during such disruptive work, they should have renovated properly. It's scandalous and unacceptable, especially at a normal rate. Money over culture!

Emanuela at reception was amazing during my one-night stay. I was told in advance that the building was undergoing renovations, and I'd definitely come back. Downtown Stuttgart's nightlife was about 10 minutes away.

At checkout they charged about 50 USD to my card for what I believe was an imaginary bill, and wouldn't let me leave without paying. I had a train to catch, so I paid to get out in time. The front desk staff didn't speak English, and the charge still hasn't been refunded as of today. They also pushed me to upgrade when I didn't need to. It felt like everything was about money, and there wasn't even drinking water in the room, you had to buy it. Worst option in Stuttgart, and a bad image for a nice city.

The TV didn't work, and the bedroom felt outdated. Parking was a hassle too: I had to ask reception to open the gate, and whenever I arrived the door wouldn't open, so I'd go to the lobby to get my card validated.
