relexa Waldhotel Schatten

We loved waking up to birdsong and fresh forest air. Set in the woods, the hotel feels like a peaceful escape while still being conveniently close to the center of Stuttgart. Our room was spacious and comfortable, the bed was excellent, and the quiet made for a perfect night’s sleep. We also appreciated the little touches that made the stay feel special. The staff were warm, exceptionally friendly and professional, always ready to help. Relexa Waldhotel Schatten combines comfort, charm and a lovely natural setting. We’d absolutely recommend it for a relaxing, high-quality stay, and would love to come back soon.

The room was clean, but dark, with the trees blocking the light, and it felt quite outdated. Breakfast was pretty good, though expensive, as were the coffee and daytime snacks. Service was very slow and not especially friendly, which was probably my biggest complaint. I spent a night there, and nothing was really bad, but the stay was forgettable.

The hotel’s location is odd, so expect to take taxis everywhere. The restaurant, though, is terrific. I had a couple of excellent dinners there, and breakfast was out of this world. Just be aware it’s closed on Sunday, when dinner means having the lobby snacks. The desk clerks were extremely nice and even lent me a phone charger. My room was solid, no complaints. The gym is right beside the sauna, so working out means being very hot.

The staff were helpful and the service was excellent. Breakfast was really good, with plenty of options to choose from. The gym is basic, but it’s there if you want a simple morning workout without leaving the hotel. I enjoyed my stay.
