The staff were polite and helpful, and breakfast was pretty decent. My room was clean, but the sheets smelled. The toilet was in a tiny separate room with no window or ventilation, apart from the bathroom area with the shower and sink. I couldn't find an elevator, and all the rooms were at least on the first floor, so that may be difficult for anyone with mobility issues. I stayed two nights on a business trip, and the restaurant's 8:30 closing time, plus being closed Friday nights and weekends, was a surprise. When you're exhausted, new in town, and just want dinner before bed, that complicates things. The location works for the university campus, but not much else unless you have a car. Restaurants are quite a walk away, and the empty streets later in the evening can feel unsettling. There aren't many alternatives nearby, so unless you need to be in this part of town, I wouldn't recommend it.

The location suited my visit to the University, and transport stops aren't far away either. I had a clean two-room apartment with a kitchen and bathroom, and was very satisfied with the service. Breakfast was good and included.

The staff quickly helped sort out a correction to my bill. I was staying on a workshop organizer's suggestion, and the hotel's location near the university campus was very convenient. Dinner was delicious, the room was cozy, and there was a tasty breakfast buffet the next morning.

We drove from France with our two small children and arrived at 9:00 p.m. on Christmas evening, but there was no staff on site to check us in. Nobody answered the posted emergency number either. Other guests tried to help by checking whether a key had been left for us, but there wasn't one. We couldn't get into the room and ended up staying at the Pullman. It was freezing. I only decided to write after noticing the $198.91 charge for a room we never accessed. Online banking showed: Roemerhof Hotelbetriebs GStuttgart DF, #xxxxxxxxxxxGB2BVS, transaction date 12/26/24, posting date 12/26/24, $198.91, billing location Stuttgart, DF, purchase mode MANUALLY ENTERED. This was beyond unprofessional.

The menu has plenty of choices, including traditional local dishes, and the food was good. The staff were kind and helpful, and adapted one dish for me because I can't eat gluten. It's an easy 10-minute walk from the university and several research institutes, so it works well for business nearby. They don't have gluten-free beer.
