Scandic Stuttgart Europaviertel (Neueröffnung/Reopening)

A small gym has a bike and treadmill, and there’s WiFi access in every room. The hotel is new, with tasteful decor and a very friendly, helpful staff. It’s within walking distance of Stuttgart central train station. Breakfast is worth having: there’s a nice choice of salads, hot dishes, breads, and pastries, plus you can make your own juice or smoothie.

Joel, who looks after the breakfast area, made us feel very welcome. He was so friendly and thoughtful, even sharing some nice places to visit. We enjoyed our stay at the new Scandic in Stuttgart. We got there early, but they safely kept our bags while we went out for the day. Breakfast was well worth the extra cost, with lots to choose from, waffle makers, and ingredients to make your own healthy juice. You can even have a glass of Prosecco.

The location is handy, close to the shopping mall and central station, and I’d consider staying here again. It’s a new hotel with a lot of potential, and I expect it’ll improve as the staff get more familiar with the procedures. The service was good, and that learning curve is understandable. The bed was really comfortable. The shower felt a little small, but it didn’t bother me much. One thing to know is that daily housekeeping isn’t automatic. Ask the front desk or scan the QR code if you want the room serviced.

The lobby, bar, and dining area looked cozy, though I didn’t eat there. The hotel itself is new and clean, with a good amount of space for a very reasonable price. Stuttgart train station is walkable. The Christmas market and shopping area are a bit farther away, but still within walking distance.
