We stayed at the pension for a biathlon event in Oberhof, and the setup worked really well. We drove to Suhl and caught the shuttle buses from there. Good value for the money.

A great choice if you want some peace in the woods. Our room had a little sitting room and a separate bedroom, with charming, thoughtful furnishings. Breakfast was made to suit what we wanted, and we were very happy with our stay.

The owners made us feel welcome right away, and the atmosphere was warmer and more family-like than anywhere we’d stayed before. After 11 nights, we were genuinely sad to leave, and even joked about turning around and going home. Thanks for such a pleasant, wonderful stay. Wishing you all the best and good health! The guesthouse sits right in the forest, a beautiful setting where it’s easy to unwind. The rooms are lovely, with lots of little details, and the value for money is hard to beat. Breakfast and the rooms had everything we could want. With a bit of planning, we also found plenty of places to eat, despite many restaurants being closed due to Covid. We’d gladly come back anytime.

The guesthouse is peaceful and idyllic, and the rooms are nice and clean, though the place feels a little dated. Breakfast was fresh, tasty, and plentiful. The price is excellent for what you get, and it’s a great base for trips in the Thuringian Forest.
