Hotel Bootshaus

The restaurant is the standout here. They really got the boats and sea theme right, and the food comes with expert service. It's in a rural area, but people clearly come from the wider surrounding area for it. The hotel is very nice too. The beds are comfortable and the room is just big enough. My only suggested improvement would be updating the bathroom with a walk-in shower. You can tell passionate people run the place, and it offers good value if you want to get away from the busy city.

I don't speak German, but the restaurant staff were happy to speak English with me. The menu had plenty of variety and the food was excellent. My one complaint was that the back of the restaurant seemed to double as an office. The hotel sits by a canal at the edge of the village, in a peaceful rural setting. For a 2 Star Hotel, my room was up to a good standard, with a modern bathroom that had recently been refurbished. A great place to stay.

The chalets are on the small side, but very clean and comfortable. The restaurant's main area is nicely laid out, and the staff seem friendly. Bootshaus is out in the countryside, a few kilometres from Emden and beside a small river. I'd visit again if I'm in the area.

The restaurant food was great, and breakfast was really nice. The rooms are cosy, with a big bathroom. Everything was super clean, and parking was convenient.
