The crust was soggy and rubbery, and it slipped right off the meat. The schnitzel itself had a rubbery taste, too. We’d hoped for a nice German schnitzel, but the ones from the “simple menu” seemed premade and reheated in an oven or microwave. When we asked, they said it had been pan-fried. We paid €48 for two schnitzels, a beer, and some fries. I wouldn’t recommend it.

The beer garden was great, and the servers there were helpful. We also really enjoyed the food, especially the breakfast, which was the best hotel breakfast I’ve ever had. The staff were friendly and helpful throughout, and the manager, Tonya, was always cheerful and accommodating. Best hotel of our vacation. We’ll be back.

That side salad they brought out first was excellent, and the meal was great value. The spare ribs were the best BBQ ribs I’ve had in Europe: lots of good-quality meat, a lovely smoky flavor, and a sauce with just the right balance of sweet, salt, and acid.

The owners were super helpful, and the place had a family atmosphere. It’s a pretty hotel in a small village. Since the restaurant was closed during the Covid period, they arranged a good breakfast box instead.

I’d highly recommend this hotel for a stay outside the major cities. The staff are really friendly and speak several languages very well. It’s a great hotel, and the restaurant food is amazing.
