Bett & Bude Boardinghouse

The parking situation would keep me from booking Bett & Bude Sylt again. The spaces outside don't seem to be just for hotel guests, with people constantly coming and going from the nearby bike rental and Europcar to pick up or return cars. It gets cramped, and people handling their bags and suitcases don't seem to take much care around parked cars. I worried that a bump or scratch could easily happen and that it would be hard to find out who was responsible. I think those few spaces should be for hotel guests only, which would make things calmer and reduce the risk of damage. The hotel itself was spacious, comfortable, modern, and very clean, and the location is excellent. You can walk to the station and the center of Westerland. I can recommend the accommodation for those things, but my concern about leaving my car there means I wouldn't stay again.

The booking was easy, and the people handling it were helpful and always reachable. We felt at home right away in this stylish, modern, very well-kept apartment. It's close to the city center, too. A lovely place for a holiday on Sylt. I'd happily book it again for my next trip.

We were in apartments 10-12 from September 18th to 22nd, 2025, with three people in each. There were only three key cards for apartment 12; apartment 10 had one, and apartment 11 had two, one of them broken. The sofa bed in apartment 11 hadn't been made up, and the mattress had red, brown, and yellow stains. Disgusting. Never again.

The apartments are new, well equipped, and in a central spot. But with the kitchen door shut, rain came inside. We also arrived to a self-check-in system that failed because of known technical problems, then waited over an hour to get in. Our optional requests hadn't been followed. They did answer the phone and tried to help, at least. The invoice came promptly after we left, though it had errors: the deposit wasn't deducted, and the linen package was bigger than the one we had booked.
