Haus Ankerlicht Whg 68

We were three people, two adults and a 17-year-old teenager, staying three nights in the Möwennest apartment in the Ankerlicht building. The underground parking space that came with it was a real plus, and the central location worked out beautifully. We were very happy with the apartment’s size, cleanliness, and amenities.

Apartment 63 was lovely and furnished with care. The separate bedroom made the place feel spacious, and there was a rain shower too. The kitchen had a dishwasher, a ceramic cooktop, and all the cooking utensils we needed. We were comfortable there for our two-week stay. The building also has an elevator and a garbage chute, with other rubbish disposed of in the parking lot.

It’s handy having the supermarket right across the street, and the beach isn’t far either. The apartment is central, easy to get around from, and has an elevator in the building. It’s a lovely option for one or two people, simply and functionally furnished. We felt comfortable there. It’s not for anyone looking for upscale luxury, but I’d recommend it. We’ll come back if we stay healthy.

Alina on the 5th floor turned out to be a cozy, comfortable apartment with a distinctly nautical feel. It had everything we needed, even a TV in the bedroom, and the view over the main shopping street was great. With our dog, the beach was an easy 10-minute walk away. The house itself is quiet and right in the heart of Westerland, though outside it was incredibly noisy at night, especially with the window open. It’s only our first day and it’s the weekend, so we’ll see how it goes. Getting luggage up from the underground parking garage was a hassle: the stairwell is narrow, and the elevator only starts at ground level.
