Haus-LIV-Appartement-Sand

The flat is cute and nicely furnished, and would be just right for two. But for €700 for four nights, I expected more, especially after paying €87 for final cleaning and finding dirty dishes, bowls, and knives. There wasn't any detergent for the washing machine either, so my first holiday chore was washing dishes left by other guests. The building and stairwell smell strongly of smoke. Opening the street-facing window brings the same smell in, since the neighbors smoke in their apartment. The shower leaks nearly to the hallway. One lamp was crooked and seemed loose when we arrived, though I fixed it quickly. The dining-area light flickers constantly and is so bright that the flicker reaches across the apartment.

We stayed in the Sand apartment, the two of us with our son. It isn't huge, but it's designed really nicely. The apartment descriptions were helpful, and arranging things was friendly and easy.

Getting the keys and returning them was easy, and the landlord got in touch with us proactively. The apartment was charming and very clean, and being near the beach was nice. Still, it was much too cramped for three of us. The advertised sleeper chair was short, narrow, and extremely hard, and it made the little space feel even tighter. The main road outside stayed busy late at night and traffic started again at 4 a.m., so it didn't feel like an island getaway.

I've been back to the house several times and tried apartments ranging from small to large, all with modern furnishings. The kitchen has everything needed to cook for yourself easily. I'd gladly stay again. 👍🏻
