The host family is friendly and the location is fantastic, right in the middle of the island. It's easy to explore by bike, and the lovely beach is just a 10-minute ride away. The apartment itself, though, is quite run-down. The mattresses are really bad, and the chairs are badly in need of replacement.

For a 3-room apartment on Sylt, apt. 3a is very affordable. It's laid out over two floors, with the living room, TV, open-plan kitchen, and bathroom downstairs (first floor). Upstairs there's a large bedroom with a double bed and window, plus a smaller room with a single bed and skylight. The owners are very friendly, and you can do laundry there. The bus stop is conveniently about 400 meters away, with a bakery right by it.

The place was clean, practical, and nicely located in the center, and the price was excellent for what you get. The landlord was very friendly, and sorting out the key handover and other details was easy. I'd definitely stay again.
