Villa Gudrun

We spent a week at Villa Gudrun in the Imperator apartment in October 2025. It was very clean and well maintained, and the welcome was warm and helpful. The place was peaceful while still right in the center, with parking available. We enjoyed the stay, though the beds were too soft for us. We’d happily return.

We were three people staying for four days in the cozy, very comfortably furnished apartment "Glück auf." Villa Gudrun is a stylish, well-kept house in a quiet area, with restaurants right outside and a bakery just around the corner. The sea is an easy four-minute walk away, and the train station takes seven minutes on foot. The island buses are great too, even in winter, running almost every 30 minutes from morning to night to nearly every part of the island. We highly recommend Villa Gudrun.

Our first visit to the venerable Villa Gudrun left us feeling completely at home. The place has real charm and style, and its location is central but still peaceful. We’d love to return.

I really liked the distinctive decor in the "Alabama" apartment at Villa Gudrun. It was clean and thoughtfully designed, and restaurants are right outside. I do wish I’d met the hosts, though. A quick introduction feels necessary here. The shower has a curtain instead of a cubicle, and the bathroom was flooded after every shower, which didn’t seem very hygienic. Still, I highly recommend the place.
