Gasthaus Vossbur

We found it easy to get to, just a few minutes from the A7, and well placed for Hamburg and Lüneburg while still being quiet. There’s customer parking next to the hotel, with easy access. The food was the standout for me: fresh regional dishes, especially the wild game, and a breakfast with plenty of choice. You could tell care went into the cooking. The traditional, cozy hotel was very clean and well kept. The staff were friendly and helpful from the moment we arrived, and we felt welcome throughout. A great stay for relaxing and enjoying the hospitality. I’ll come back.

Breakfast was good, and the staff communicated well and made me feel welcome. My room was really nice and spotlessly clean.

The prices were really reasonable, and the place sits among beautiful nature. The food was wonderful, and the service was friendly and thoughtful.

The biggest issue for me was the restaurant being closed on Thursdays, with no staff at the hotel. That wasn’t clear when I booked. The room was okay, though it felt dated. The hotel itself is a bit old, and sound carries straight through. Street noise was bad, with people racing past as if it were a go-kart track. I could also hear the rooms next door, and the floor squeaked.
