The buffet was a real surprise, so much better than what you usually get. There’s also loads to do for both kids and adults, which impressed me a lot. The standard room layout feels a bit dated, and the bathroom is tiny, but everything else was great.

Breakfast had plenty of choice, and I really enjoyed the view from my comfortable room. The reception staff were very polite and helpful, so we got off to a good start. The bathroom was cramped, though, and getting the shower doors shut was difficult. You also have to pay an extra 5€ for a kettle in the room, which I think should be included. And there are so many children that it can get really noisy at times.

There’s a full schedule of activities to keep the kids occupied all day. It’s a great place for families, or for grandparents visiting with their grandkids.

The outdoor activities for kids were amazing, with several different playgrounds. The food was nothing special and leaned more toward traditional German cuisine. Most guests seemed to be German, with lots of families with children and older people. We had the smallest room, which was really tiny but fine for one night. There wasn’t a hook for a hand towel in the bathroom, and there was no air conditioning, though the nights weren’t terribly hot.

Our double room was spacious and clean, and the location is great. It’s a very family-oriented hotel with plenty of activities, and it does that part well. The food, though, was absolutely terrifyingly bad. You might put up with it for a couple of nights, but for a longer stay I’d skip half board and walk or take the bus into town.
