DAS TANN rooms & wine

Breakfast is where you get the menu and can decide if you want to join in. I'd definitely recommend it. The hotel also makes a good base for all kinds of international activities. We had a very pleasant stay, with a friendly host, great service, and outstanding food. Two details took some getting used to: the bathroom's sliding glass door has clear strips rather than being fully frosted, and the roller blind in front of the window is quite narrow.

The Tann is in a handy central spot, close to the sights, shops, and city center, while still feeling peaceful. There's free parking right in front, which was a real plus for us arriving by car. Our room was modern and clean, with thoughtful details. Breakfast was another highlight, with plenty of variety, freshly prepared and nicely presented. Staff were consistently friendly, courteous, and helpful, and the price felt fair for the comfort and service, with no hidden costs or compromises. A quiet, comfortable place for a business trip, city break, or short getaway. The Tann has plenty of charm and practical touches. Highly recommended! 🛎️✨

We were especially looking forward to seeing the friendly, approachable owner, Mr. Damm, and having the menu he prepared with his expert drink pairings. The four-course meal and drinks were a feast for the eyes and the palate again. This was our second stay at "Das Tann," and we came away completely satisfied once more. It's a quiet little oasis in the countryside, with spacious, beautiful rooms that were impeccably clean. Thanks so much. We'll definitely be back soon!

We spent three days hiking, and the location was excellent for it. The welcome was warm, and the food was upscale and absolutely delicious, the best we've had in the Harz Mountains. Taking a bottle of Riesling with us was no problem. Thanks for a wonderful few days. One small thing: I didn't understand how the bathroom's automatic light worked in our hotel room. At night it could be a bit unpleasant with two people.
