The cabins are simple, with what you need, even if they don’t have every comfort you’d have at home. The place feels authentic, though the accommodation is a bit dated. The owner is incredibly friendly and helpful, and seems to look after everything almost by himself. We felt welcome the whole time, even with our three energetic kids. The location is special: quiet evenings, great stargazing, and the chance to reach Rosstrappe for sunrise almost as soon as you get up. Just remember to get everything you need while shopping, since this isn’t the closest place. We enjoyed coffee or an evening beer outside the cabin with friends, or cooked soup indoors. Thanks so much for having us. We truly enjoyed our week.

The Bode Valley and Thale are easy to reach on foot, and the Rosstrappe rock formation is very close. You can also get there easily by car, train, or chairlift. It’s a beautiful, family-run property that’s well-equipped and maintained. Many thanks to Frank Nettlau for such a pleasant stay!

The location is unbeatable, and it’s a real treat for children. We’ve stayed twice already and would happily return. The cottages are cozy, and the friendly family atmosphere makes the place feel so welcoming.

There are lovely viewpoints all around and fantastic hiking routes, and you can take the cable car down to Thale. The little houses sit quietly on the mountain, and we were given such a warm welcome. They’re clean and well-equipped, and there’s a great pool too. We’d love to come back and highly recommend these holiday homes. Thanks for a wonderful stay.
