The location is great, with beautiful nature and hiking trails just minutes away. Breakfast was lovely, and the atmosphere felt friendly and family-like, which is why I’m giving it 4 stars. As another guest said, “love goes through the stomach.” The room, though, wasn’t worth what we paid. The mattresses and pillows bothered us most. The old double mattress had a dip in the middle and was full of lumps. It was the worst sleep I’ve ever had in a hotel. It’s a shame, given the location.

We stayed in the Wintergarden room, with its own seating area and private patio. That patio was amazing for relaxing with a drink and playing cards. The windows gave us a great view and fresh air, and the beds were comfortable. Breakfast was great too. The guesthouse was spotless and well kept, with a beautiful garden and patio. There was also a fridge stocked with beer and wine at fantastic prices, 2 euro for beer and 9 for wine. Enjoying those on our private patio made the stay feel even more magical. The staff were friendly, and speaking English was no problem. If you go to Thale, please stay here. We had a great time!

From the window I could see the mountains, and breakfast was delicious. It’s a cozy place in Thale, and the crew were really helpful. I’d highly recommend this hotel.
