The restaurant was a real highlight: excellent home-style food, reasonably priced, with a short but high-quality menu. The meals and sleep for two came to 100 euros, and breakfast was included, hearty, and well served. It's a very convenient spot, less than 15 minutes from the motorway exit and in a small town with various shops. The hostel is a bit dated, like something from the 80s, but it's functional, very clean, well maintained, and a great deal for the location. We got a warm welcome from the pleasant manager. She doesn't speak English, so a little German or a phone translator helps, but we managed smoothly. We highly recommend it.

There was plenty of room to park in the courtyard, and breakfast was generous and delicious. I had good coffee, fresh rolls, tasty cold cuts, orange juice, and boiled eggs. I was welcomed warmly, and even though it was late, the kitchen was still open for me. Afterwards, I watched TV in my room and got some work done on my laptop.

The rooms smelled of urine, and I wouldn't recommend the place for cleanliness or food. If normal standards don't matter to you, maybe you'll have a different experience. Never again.

One star only because zero wasn't an option! We walked in hoping to get something to eat, and she greeted us right away with, “That's not going to work!” There are kinder ways to say that.

I checked in an hour late and was greeted warmly, which I'm incredibly grateful for. This is a really nice guesthouse with delicious German food. The room is old, but everything works; it was perfectly clean and smelled nice.
