Hotel Lindenhof

We loved our stay and would like to come back for a summer holiday, when there’s plenty to do nearby. The meal at the restaurant was one of our most memorable in a long time, with perfect service and steak and lamb crown cooked just right. It’s a family-run business, and there seemed to be plenty of staff. A friendly woman was at reception. The rooms were huge compared with some of the other hotels we’d stayed in on our 3.5-week trip through various countries. The bathroom was comfortable, everything was spotless, and the beds were even more comfortable than ours at home. After that journey, this hotel was the cherry on top. Thank you for a wonderful experience.

It’s quite remote, with only a few houses and a couple of other hotels nearby, and there aren’t many shops or restaurants around. That makes it seem best suited to a relaxing break. The breakfast buffet was great, the rooms have impressive interiors, and rooms on the second floor offer beautiful views.

We might book again, since it’s a nice hotel in a lovely location, though the breakfast was a little poor. We got a room in what I’m guessing was the old or unrenovated wing, and it looked dated compared with the pictures. For late arrivals, there’s no one at reception, but they leave the key on the desk with a message. It’s pet friendly, though we were charged 5 euros for our dog, and I don’t remember seeing that mentioned when we booked.

The breakfast buffet was excellent, but the staff were the best part. We got five-star service from personnel who were always friendly and very accommodating.
